To work with 247 CARS we require a full driving licence, but remember you’ll also need the relevant local private hire licence as well.

Do I have to work set shifts?

247 Cars driver jobs are completely flexible.  Work the hours that suit you best. There are periods during the week where we are busier and specific incentives are in place to encourage drivers to work. During the week, we are particularly busy during the early morning and evening periods and at weekends we are very busy later in the evening.

Do I need to provide my own vehicle and will I pay for fuel?

Yes, drivers pay for their own fuel

How do I get paid?

Drivers keep all the fares they collect so in effect pay themselves.

What do I need to become a driver?

You will need to provide us with your driving licence (both parts), and 2 forms of identification clearly showing your current address. Please contact us from the following methods to apply as a driver:-

What experience do I need?

Above all, we look for enthusiasm and reliability in drivers. Experience with private hire driver jobs is not necessary, but a good working knowledge of the area is required for which you are applying for. You will need either a Wolverhampton, Walsall or Sandwell  taxi licence and be able to speak English.

Who are 247 CARS?

247 Cars are a large, regional taxi company who supply a high quality service within the West Midlands County, covering The Black Country and Birmingham.

Will I be self-employed?

Yes. All 247 Cars drivers are self-employed and responsible for their own tax and national insurance.

Are your drivers all insured?

Yes, drivers have to have special Private Hire insurance by law. Our fleet cars are covered under our 247 policy, we can also help owner drivers to insure their car.
